Have 6 Unexplained Bruises Close To Each Other On Calf. Hard, Painful And Itchy. Advice?
For the past week I have had 6 unexplained bruises where there close to each other there white in the middle of it and circular in shape also in the middle it is very hard and pain full to the touch than it itches all of them are on the calf or the hip exept for one it is on the top part of my arm what could it be should I be worried
Hello, Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum. These bruises are from last 7 days means short duration . May be due to cellulitis as cellulitis involves the deeper dermis ( skin layer) and subcutaneous fat along with deeper lymphatics . Usually this type of infection is caused by Streptococcus or staphylococcus and develops edema and swelling over effected portion. In my opinion this is not a cause of concern . Simple antibiotic and anti inflammatory drugs will cure. Consult a dermatologist and take a treatment . Good luck. Dr. HET
