Have COPD. Taken Symbicort, Spiriva. Throat Congestion, Blood Clot In Lungs. Taking Albuterol

I am 75 years old and have copd. I have been using symbicort and spiriva for a couple of years and these medications have worked fine until i started getting throat congestion after eating. I have to use albuterol to help cut the congestion loose several times a day. Now i don't think the first two medications are working for i usually wake up in the middle of the night out of breath. I found out i have a couple of small blood clots in my lungs which i am on blood thinner for. Right now i'm depending on albuterol to keep breathing and my emergency inhalers. What can i do to get rid of the throat congestion after eating. Hugh

Your condition warrants for additional assessment for lung and heart function, rule out GERD etc.
you can try with some antacids/ prokinetics like domperidone and anitallergics like levocetrizine etc.
kindly also revisit your doctor for Gastro Esophageal Reflux Disease / change of inhaler prescription and to find for any evidence of heart failure(Congestive Heart failure).
