Have DVT In Lower Limbs, Venous Hypertension, Edema, Pain, Bleeding. Taking Acitrom. Further Management?

Suffering from DVT in both lower limbs and also with venous hypertension, resulting in edema, pain & bleeding from both lower limbs (14 times in 2012-13). Presently I am on acitrom 5-7mg (keeping INR between 2-3), keep my limbs elevated while sleeping and using stocking regularly.
As per current Doppler report ilian, femoral, popliteal, saphenous, tibial veins are irregular, thickening, partial recanalised and collateral channel formation with echogenic residual thrombus in lumen. Left femoro popliteal venous system with left sapheno femoral junction is incompetence. Left lesser sapheno femoral vein is not draining into popliteal vein in the popliteal fossa. Moreover, IVC is thin calibre.

Looking for further management.

Hello,
Thanks for writing.

Since you are having DVT and taking acitrom regularly, you need to get Doppler of veins in your legs periodically.
The veins will take time to recanalise and as you see, ppresently they are partially recanalised with collateral channel formation.
In addition please move your limb postition every two hours during the day.
Your INR also must be controlled.

If you have breathlessness, please consult your doctor immediately.

Hope this helps.
