Have MVP, Regurgitation. Had Loss Of Consciousness, Dizzy. Wearing Heart Monitor, Advised Surgery. What Is It?
Hello. My husband has been diagnosed with MVP and mild to severe regurgitation possibly. He experienced a short-term loss of consciousness/zombie like and dizzy spell effect while sitting to stand in the bathroom. He is wearing a heart monitor to record his heart function as he has been advised for possible surgery. Do you have any input on what this last experience may mean or be leading to? thank you.
Dizzy spell in heart disease - may mean arrhythmia; Holter monitor may show / - may mean embolism from thrombus; ECHOcardiogram may show / It may be simple postural hypotension / may even be unrelated ear or neurological problem... Only examination and investigations will shed light. .
Usually, thorough structural and functional evaluation will be done before surgery...
Take care
Wishing speedy recovery
God bless
Good luck
