Hi,
thanks for posting your query.
Let me know the results of blood sugar both fasting and postprandial.
As such there is no correlation between diabetes and use of ecosprin with myopic degeneration.
Myopic degeneration may have genetic predisposition and runs in families.
Diabetes by causing changes degeneration at level of retina may cause loss of vision.
Your blood sugar must be in controlled range and glycosylated hemoglobin must be below 6.0%.
You should consult with ophthalmologist for correction of myopic degeneration.
Kindly don't stop ecosprin and atorvastatin.
Take care,

General & Family Physician Dr. Pavan Kumar Gupta's  Response
Hello,
Your blood sugar levels and other parameters are allright because of regular medication only.
You can't and should not stop your medications,as the moment you do it,these parameters will start deteriorating and will land you in various types of complications.
As far as deteriotion of eye vision is concerned, there can be three causes for it.
...cataract
...glaucoma
...diabetic retinopathy.
You must immediately consult an ophthalmologist and get your eyes examined to look for the cause and it's management.
Don't stop ECOSPORIN as it a blood thinner and helps preventing strokes.
Thanks
