Hi thanks for writing here.Pemphigus vulgaris is a auto immune disease having fluid filled lesions. They tend to rupture producing sores which may get secondarily infected.Treatment of choice is no doubt steroids, but to achieve a response it has to be taken in proper dose.Usual dose for prednisolone is 1 to 2 mg per kg in intial phase which has to be tapperd slowly according to disease activity.Other drugs are immunosuprresants which help to reduce steroid doses early. You are at present just taking 5 mg of deltacortil which is not sufficient to control disease activity. You need 30 to 40 mg of dose. You must consult a dermatologist and take treatment accordingly.Do not take tablets on your own.I hope this can solve your query.Take care.
