Have SVT. Having Numbness In Hands. Pulse Slow. Worried.
I have SVT, and I was laying in bed when i started feeling my hands go numb and then i got really hot. I decided to check my pulse and it was 60 Bpm which is very low for me as my heart usually goes fast and even the meds don't slow it to 60. I also noticed it skipping beats about 5 times. Is this something to worry about?
You have not stated your personal habits, family history or co-morbidities, even age, gender... Probably, you are having Sick Sinus Syndrome... THE FIRST STEP IS TO SEE A CARDIOLOGIST / the event needs to be DOCUMENTED by ElectroCardioGram (EKG). / Standard ECG records the electrical activity of the heart, for a few seconds. It can detect the arrhythmia occurring during that time only. If the episode occurs randomly or precipitated by a specific activity like exercise, one needs Holter or event monitor. Holter records for days; Event monitor for weeks / Holter records continuously / Event monitor only at certain times .
Take care Wishing speedy recovery God bless Good luck
