Have A Cyst Or Node On Forehead. Doctor Says Its Hereditary. Anything Serious?
I have a cyst or node on the middle of my forehead for about 5 years now. Not exactly sure what it really is. However, I have little balls all over my body. My doctor says its hereditary I went to my doctor but he doesn t take me serious and kinda disregards my concern. I don t know where to turn and it makes me feel uncomfortable around ppl bc I feel that s all they look at on my forehead. :( pls help.

The cyst or node which you mentioning on your fourhead could be a sebacious cyst,a lipoma or a bony exostosis .
A good physical examination along with investigation is needed to differentiate among these.i would suggest you to consult a general surgeon who will be able to evaluate you for you this cyst along with other ball your having your body.

These lumps can be lipomas (fat tissue lumps), or sebaceous cysts(blocked oil glands). Both occur in certain skin types which can be hereditary . They are not dangerous but are cosmetically unpleasing . The only way to get rid of them, is to have them surgically removed. This can be done under local anesthesia and need not be a major procedure .
