Have A Light Brown Vertical Line On My Great Toenail. No Pain. Suggestions?

Hello. I just recently noticed a light brown vertical line on my great toenail. No other discoloration anywhere else on the toe and it is just a single thin line. No pain at all. I went on-line (probably worse thing to do!) and what I read sounds scary. I see my GP tomorrow morning. Can you share anything else with me about this? Thank you.

Hello,
Thanks for the query,

If the line remains as such,
You dont need to worry.

Increase in the size or involvement of other nails can be troubling.

This will suggest melanoma.

For now nothing to worry.

Just observe.

Please meet a dermatologist for final diagnosis and treatment

Let me know if you have any other doubt.
