Have A Lump On The Neck For A Long Time. No Test Or Medication Till Now. What Can It Be?

Have a lump on right side of my neck it has been there for atleast 3 years and hasn't changed at all. I used to play football and remember straining my neck so bad I couldn't move it. Could it be scar tissue? I haven't really been worried because its remained unchanged and when only when i stretch it I feel a slight pain that goes away but it's not directly on the knot it feels like it's coming from the muscle above it. It's in the middle of right side of my neck and I'm 24.

Hi,

Thanks for asking the query,

The common possibility seems in your case is enlarged lymph node, whenever there is an infection in the nearby area the lymph nodes gets enlarged.
I would suggest you to get a proper medical examination done by your Physician.
also mention if you are having other symptoms like chronic cough, fever, loss of apetite

Take care!
