Have Acne On Face As A Symptom Of UTI. Taking Chemo And Had Single Mastectomy For Breast Cancer. Is There Any Relation?
I am 70+ year old female & have noticed the last few times I have gotten an UTI my face would be broken out in severe acne for a few days preceding the actual infection symptoms & continues during the Urinary Tract Infection. Is there a correlation or just a bizarre coincidence? I am also currently going thru chemo following a single mastectomy for breast cancer. Could the breast cancer have been causing the acne issues due to hormonal interruption. I had a hystectomy 40 years ago but do still have ovaries. Thank you very much!!

These can be acneform eruptions.
Yes there is a relation between these lesions and chemotherapy as well as ca breast.
Although no association is found between UTI and acne.
Treatment with topical retinoids will be beneficial.
Please meet a dermatologist.
