Have Anxiety, Depression, Fatigue. Took Effexor. What Is The Maximum Dosage I Can Take? Any Side Effects?
I am on 225mgs Effexor for anxiety and depression. I have chronic fatigue at present - v bad but not completely bed ridden. Had it 4 months now. Usually pull out of low CFS patches in 3months but seem to be getting worse. I am v depressed and stressed and anxious about my current state of health and also family matters. Would increasing dose of Effexor help. What is max dose and what are side effects. Thanks

Since you are still symptomatic on 225 mg of Effexor, it will be a good idea to see if a dose hike helps you. The maximum dose of Effexor is 300 mg per day. Since you have been taking 225 mg per day without any problem, I do not expect any major side effects when you hike it to 300 mg per day. However the common side effects are headache, nausea, insomnia or somnolence, dizziness, dry mouth, sweating, sexual dysfunction etc.
