Hello and welcome to HCM.

Thank you for your query.

I can understand your concern. As your Bartholin cyst has grown quite a bit, it is best for you to seek treatment for the same at the earliest. I would also like to know if this was diagnosed by a doctor, or if it something you assumed by looking it up?

Treatment options include:
-Sitz baths
-Antibiotic use
-Surgical drainage
-Marsupialization
I would advise you to consult your doctor regarding the same.

Infections are common causes for a delay in periods or result in irregular periods. But only a doctor can confirm this to be the cause after a physical and laboratory examination.

I hope I have succeeded in providing the information you were looking for. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications. I would gladly help you.

Best wishes.
