Have Been Getting A Very Loud Heartbeat. Worried About The Findings?
Hi im 23 year old male. For the past couple of weeks I have been getting a verry loud heartbeat off and on. When im not active is when I notice it (in bed, sitting watching tv, etc). It sounds more like the noises youre stomach makes than a heartbeat and the past few days iv had a tightness behind my left collar bone. Im fit and active and weight train 3/4 times a week. Diets fairly good, occasionaly drink and am an ex smoker. Is this something to be concerned about? will it pass? Any advice would be appreciated thanks.

General & Family Physician, Dr. Anuj Dan's Response
Hi, A routine ECG and general check up should be more than enough to find out what is going on. Based on the results of these two we can tell you what to do next. But the good news is that you arent having any kind of discomfort, so it could be that there is nothing wrong with you. But as they say prevention is better than cure, so get a check up. I hope this helped.
