Have Been Smoking Marijuana. How To Get Out Of It? Will It Affect The Tx?

My daughter just told me that she smokes marijuana and I told her that as her health proxy it is good to know because if she ever got in an accident it effects the tx. She doesn't believe me. Have you got some facts on that Just so you know she is not underage.
Sorry I didn't know this would cost money. Sorry for taking your time. Goodbye

Hello and welcome to Healthcare Magic. Thanks for your query.

Smoking marijuana can cause a variety of medical as well as psychological problems. Smoking itself can put her at risk for heart and lung problems and also a lot of other medical problems. Marijuana is known to be associated with a variety of psychiatric problems like anxiety, panic disorders, psychotic disorders, etc.

I'm not sure what you mean by this habit affecting "tx" if she ever got into an accident. But there are enough and more reasons why it should be avoided. I would advise you to take her to a psychiatrist for help in quitting her drug abuse.

Wish you all the best.

Regards,
Dr. Sheeba Stephen
