Have Bleeding, Tissue Discharge. Had Medical Abortion. Is It That Normal?
Hi, I got a medical abortion on sep 28th, i was bleeding normally for the first week, but it became brown late of the second week. Then i went to appoinment to check. She said I was ok. After that, i had protected sex ... Now in the third week, i'm still bleeding but it is becoming pink and red. Beside that, I had a lot of small discharge of tissue untill now. Is it normal after using medical abortion? Should I do to check again?
Following medical abortion, light bleeding or discharge is quite common for 4 to 6 weeks. However, I suggest to undergo one USG scan to check retained bits if any. It is must needed after medical abortion if you have not done.
In addition, you can take tranexamic acid (like TRAPIC) to arrest bleeding for temporary purpose and maintain your genital hygiene properly. Good luck.
