Have Body And Joint Pain, Swelling In Hand And Neck. Taking Painkiller And Calcium. Cost Of MRI?

Sir..My wife is suffering from acute body and joins pains. She wants to get MRI scan for her spinal cord. kindly inform the cost in India and specially at Vizag. Sir, I have no images and X-ray reports. She is consuming pain killers and Calcium tabs. as per doctor's advice. There is some swelling on the right hand, neck (backside). You may kindly get back to me on YYYY@YYYY .

We had been to Vizag (Manipal Hospitals) and the doctor could not detect any abnormality. But when she uses pain killers or MR (Muscle release) tabs she feels good/better but at night she spends sleepless nights weaping that there is acute pain on the back , hands and keens.
Sir, please help me.

Thanks for writing to HCM

You didn't mentioned your wife's age.
There may be various reasons.
She need proper clinical examination and thorough checkup.
Investigations like routine hemogram,LFT,RFT,RBS,Lipid profile,RA factor, Ultrasound of abdomen, Chest X-ray (PA),Serum calcium level, Vitamin D status, Thyroid profile should be done.
X-rays of involved joints should be taken and MRI can be done if needed.
She shouldn't take pain killers for long time, as it has side effects.
Treatment should be done on clinical basis and investigation reports.
Cost for plain MRI is around five to six thousand and it increases if contrast MRI is done
