Have Boil On Face On Jaw Line, Using SULFAMETHOXAZOLE-TMP. How Long It Will Take To Cure?
I have a boil on my face. It has been visible for two weeks. It is on my jaw line. I went to the hospital they lanced it and was able to make it feel good for the night the gave me SULFAMETHOXAZOLE-TMP to take. I have been putting a wet washcloth on my face. Just wondering how long it will take to cure.

Its is normally expected to heal within 7-10 days. I would advice to continue with oral antibiotics for a week or so.
Application of topical antibacterial like mupirocin 2% cream/ointment is also advisable.
