Your query puts me in utter shame and surprise. Shame because I am also an Indian and I cannot even imagine about such a barbarous thing happening in our country. Surprise because you are a relative of him and why you did not come to know of it and why you did not react to such cruel and inhuman behaviour from the part of a therapist, who ever he is?
There is no such a pipe forcefully if inserted will cure his breathing problem.
There is no breathing problem more dangerous than cancer and that can be cured through insertion of a pipe through the nose.
You have to take him to a higher centre where all the medical facilities are available and get the diagnosis first from a specialist. There are several universally approved investigation procedures in medicine but no where such a method is heard about. If the procedure is painful to the patient , usually he is put under general anaesthesia.
