Have Breathlessness. Have Consolidation In Chest. Took Xray And CT Scan. Whats Going On With Lungs?
Hello. I had a chest X-ray back in October when I had a cough. It showed consolidation. I had 3 further X-rays over time up to six months later the consolidation is still there. I no longer have a cough. I no longer have chills or sweats. This went in the first couple of months. But this week I had a CT scan. I'm awaiting the outcome of that. I have been short of breath increasingly over the months. I'm fine walking on the flat but stairs and hills wind me. I cannot run. Walking too long makes me yawn. I can't lift heavy objects as it winds me. I can't seem to talk in a long sentence either as it makes me feel like I'm running out of breath. I'm 47 and female. I did smoke up to 5 years ago. I had a heart attack 4 years ago and was stented. I have the hereditary form of high cholesterol e that's controlled with statins. I take plavix. Im not lazy but find myself avoiding stairs and hills. I had an echo for the heart and it was normal. So what's going on with the lungs?
