Have Burning Feeling In Penis. Frequent Urination. On Cipro. No Relief. Suggestions?

I have been having an itchy/burning feeling in my penis but no discharge and no sores or blisters. I also have a constant urge to pee. My regular doctor is having a urine sample checked for chlamydia & gonorrhea and put me on cipro in the mean time. It's been 4 days on the cipro and not doing anything to the sysmtoms. What else could this be?

Hi,
Thanks for using healthcare magic.

I have gone through your history.

Burning sensation might be due to
- urinary tract infection
- Stone in urinary tract
- Inadequate hydration.

So you should consult urophysician for detailed evaluation and management. Doctor may advise you to go for urine -routine and microscopic examination and culture-sensitivity if needed. Doctor may also advise you to go for ultrasound examination to rule out stone.

You may increase your water intake.

Treatment would be directed as per the cause.

Thanks.
