I'M SCHED. FOR A PHYSICAL ON TOMORROW. HOW DOES ONE ADDRESS SO MANY PHYSICAL COMPLAINTS IN ONE VISIT? I'M HAVING THYROID ISSUES, DIABETES CONCERNS, CHRONIC MUCOSITIS, ARTHRITIS PAINS, SHARP PAINS IN THE VAGINA, HAIR LOSS, AND SORES THAT ARE ON MY TOE AND ONE ON THE LEFT LEG THATS BEEN THERE FOR SOME 3 MOS. AWEFUL HOT FLASHES AND SLEEPLESS NIGHTS. YES, I AM ALSO SEEING A PHSYCHIATRIST FOR BYPOLAR DEPRESSION-4YRS NOW. I'M STILL HAVING SEVERE DEPRESSION EPISODES. I'M REALLY SCARED ABOUT MY HEALTH STATE. I'M DOING ALL I CAN TO MINIMIZE THESE COMPLAINTS BY EXERCISING, EATING HEALTHY FOODS, CHURCH, AND DRINKING LOTS OF WATER. BUT IT ONLY SEEMS LIKE THINGS ARE GETTING WORSE. PLEASE RESPOND.

Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hi there ~

I understand your concerns. Having bipolar depression can be difficult and having hypothyroidism and diabetes along with it can be taking a toll on your mental health. I am glad that you are going to visit with a doctor soon. Sleep issues and hot flashes may be related but the state may become better with improvement in your mental health. Visiting with a psychiatrist might be helpful to a great extent. I also think that reaching out as you are doing is also important. I also hope that you get on medications for the disorder that you are experiencing.

I hope this helps. Take care and have a lovely day!
