Have Chest Pain, Sore Throat Along With Swelling. Have History Of Viral Illness. What Can This Be?

Hello, I had protected sex, but few days later got a sensation of cold and tiredness. No fever but ches pain; 2 week later my glands were swollen in the right side neck and under the jaw and I had a light stomachache sometime left side, sometime right side. I felt weak on my feet in the mornings. Now the ches pain still persit after 4 weeks with rash in my hands and sometimes feet. No diareah, rather I was constipated for few days. I'm wooried it could be IHV even I always had protected sex. But I have a history a viral illness several times special after lot of hard works. But the swollen are not regular in size, they fluctuate according to effort and sometime by themselves. They are srinking finally after 4 weeks but still persist, fluctuating. they may be linked to the ches pain I call engina (not sure). I saw doctors twice in emergency but they said it is a viral syndrome, I'm still worried .

Hi,
Thanks for your query,
HIV needs at least 10 yrs for manifesting its symptoms. What you are getting as symptoms may be a manifestation of simple viral infection.
Go for a complete blood count and see whether lymphocytes are increased in number or not and secondly go for a fine needle aspiration cytology (FNAC) of the enlarged lymph nodes. If both are fine, just relax and there is nothing to worry......If you have concern you may go for HIV testing, readily available at many centers including peripheries.......

Best wishes
