Hello,

Corn is a cone shaped thickened skin with it base facing outside and the sharp end inside.
When it impinges on a nerve it may produce pain.
Corn develops due to increase in the pressure at that point.
With the corn cap only the base will come but it may recur later if the pressure is not eliminated.
Cap can be used for a maximum of five days after which surgical excision is the best option.
