Have Diabetes, Slow Healing Wounds, Increased Hunger, Weight Loss. Advice?
Hi, I m curious about my odd symptoms. I think I have Diabetes but I am no doctor. I am having slow healing wounds, almost all the time I am tired, I am having to urinate often and needing a drink more than I probably should, I m also very hungry sometimes but I have already had a filling meal, and I ve lost a few pounds without trying. Also, my family has a history of diabetes. Should I see about this?
Very much yes, please go and get tested for sugars- in your case simple fasting and 2 hr post meal sugars will confirm if you have diabetes (no need of oral glucose tolerance test). Also get HbA1c done for records. All the symptoms you have mentioned here, with family history of diabetes, direct one to get the sugars done.
Wish you all the best. Eventhough you get to know about sugars, you must be knowing that following doctor's advice carefully will help you lead normal life. So do not worry and take it positively.
