Have Discharge From Nipples. Have Discharge Tested? Have Breast Cancer Family History. Is It Cancer?

Hi. I have greyish black and greenish discharge coming from both nipples when I squeeze them. I had the discharge tested. It is not blood n not mrsa or a staph infection. I have a large history of breast cancer in my family on both sides. I'm only 30 but have set uo an appt for breast specialist. In the meantime have you ever seen this? Does it look like cancer? Any ideas?

Hi and welcome to HCM.
Nipple discharge isnt unusualy and in most cases this is not serious. This is secretion of breasts glands which are hyperactive in some women. SOmetimes it can become infected or abscess can form, but sometimes there is no specific microbe or infection. In rare cases it can be sign of tunour, adenomas or cancer. You can do mamography or ultrasound to rule this out. ALso you should do hormones levels(estrogem, prolactine, oxitocine). Hormonal imbalance can case abnormal breast symptoms too.
After these tests I am sure everything will be clear.
Wish you good health.
