Have Eczema. Tiny Bumps Turning Into Red Scabs Over Thigh, Calf And Around Knee. Detected Possible Mosquito Bites, Scabies. Suggested Eczema Cream. Suggest

my son has eczema and in the areas that usually are affected, legs, around the under knee etc, he has been getting tiny skin colored bumps that have turned into tiny red scabs all over his thigh, calf and around the knee area. I took him to a walk in clinic and the doctor said it is not eczema but could be mosquito bites, or scabies, or bed bugs, but nobody else has this symptom. And he told us to continue using his eczema cream for a week and if no change then come back? Any thoughts.

Thanks for the query.

It is looking like atopic dermatitis.

I would like to know the following things.

1. Does he have recurrent cold cough sneeze etc?

2. Any one in family with similar problem?

3. Does it aggravate in winters?

Also a photograph of lesions would help me in giving a closer diagnosis,

Medications can be suggested based on that.
