Have Flu, Night Sweats, Sore Throat, Drainage Of Blood, Irritation In Nose. What Is Wrong?
I caught the flu a week ago. My fever went away 4 days ago (day 3 of the flu). I continue to have night sweats and wake up in a puddle of sweat every night. I still have other symptoms, including a very mild ear ache, mild soar throat , extreme drainage with blood (most likely from irritation from nose-blowing constantly for 3 days in a row), plus I ve pretty much been reduced to not having a voice. Am I still just getting over the flu, causing the night sweats, despite the lack of fever?
You seem to be having an upper respiratory tract infection which has gone to affect your sinuses and throat. Since you still have the symptoms then you must consult an ENT who will examine you and start a course of proper antibiotics and anti inflammatory medications along with anti histamines .
Since your voice is also strained the ENT will probably advice you on the vocal hygiene after an endoscopic examination Since you have bleeding from your nose, the ENT may also perform an endoscopy to rule out any local problem and initiate treatment. Also do steam inhalation, take plenty of warm fluids and do not blow very roughly
take care and get well soon
