sir, I am diabetic since 1995 and the tablets were chaged from time to time and at present I am taking triglucored forte one and a half tab before breakfast and before dinners. My glucose readings are before food 100 and after food is around 180/200. My problems are weight gain mostly towards tummy, swelling in legs, laziness etc. Pl. tell me what to do. mrr gupta
Hello, Although your fasting blood sugarblevels r all right but it would be good if you could bring our PP around 150. There is no need to increase the dose of anti diabetic drugs for your PP levels as it can be achieved by being more careful in your calorie intake and regular aerobic exercises for 30 to 40 minutes a day. A far as swelling in legs is concerned,it can be due to various reasons like associated uncontrolled blood pressure or some kidney involvement or some component of congestive heart failure.Get yourself investigated for this and so you must consult a doctor. As far as weight gain is concerned,it may be due to taking more calories,sedentary habits and partly due to effect of anti diabetic medicines. Thanks
