Have Headache And Bump On Forehead. No Medication Till Now. What To Do?

My son was jumping up to hit the top of the door jam and he tripped hitting his head (right above his eye) on a cinderblock wall. It has a bump and a bruise .. later after putting ice on it that evening the bump and some of the bruise seemed to dissappear. Today is three days later and the bump reappear, was red in color and then disappeared again, Now there is a slight bruise and bump. Should we be concerned and take him in? He has had a headache since it happened and he does say his whole head hurts but he doesn't think we need to bring him in? He is not sick in any way or dizzy or goofy?

Please advise.

Hi,
Thank you for posting your query.
Based on the symptoms, your son seems to have suffered a mild head injury and there is no need to worry.
You could try symptomatic treatment with analgesics at home. However, if he does not improve or worsen, then he may be taken to the hospital.

Please get back if you require any additional information.

Best wishes,
