Have Heavy Hair Loss After Second Child. Took Jasmin, Felt Nausea. Took Ginette, Have Chest Pains. Cure For Symptoms?

Hi dr! I had my second child abt 19 months ago and I suffer from hair loss. It is not just a little but quite a lot. I was on Jasmin before I fell pregnant and when I started loosing hair 3 months after my child was born I started using jasmin again, causing me to feel very nausies. The hair did stop falling out but 2 months after I left the pill it started again. Now 2 months ago I went to see a gp that did blood tests on me and advised me that nothing is wrong with me. Even my hormones are stable. He put me on the pill called Diane, I used the one called Ginette 35 the second month when diane was out of stock. The pill make me have chest pains and also make me very depressed. I stoped immediately. What is the cause of my hair still falling out after 19 months and still on going even after being on the pill. I have to use something, if I am not on something my face also start breaking out. But there are so many disadvantages of the pill and injections. I just want to have a clear face and hair that is not falling out not being on anything! I am tired of pills. The pills also took away my desire foe sex. What to do to feel normal again?? Pllease help me!

Hi

It is your choice to go off the pills. You can try another contraceptive like copper-t or hormone based IUD.

There can be many other causes of hair fall apart from hormonal imbalances. The causes can be iron-deficiency anemia, vitamin deficiency, oral medicines, medicated shampoos, dandruff, etc.

Clear face and hair problems need a visit to a dermatologist. You may try non-medicated shampoos for the while. Take multi-vitamin tablets. Biotin has been used to prevent hair fall. Once the cause has been taken care of, the hair fall will decrease.
