Have Hole In Heart, Low Blood Pressure, Syncope. Palpitations After Smoking Marijuana, Vomiting. Chest Pain

Hi I'm an 18 year old girl with a hole in my heart I also have syncope and low blood pressure. I smoked marijuana last night and I felt massive heart palpitations, and just a high like never before. I was dropping in and out and ended up vomitting enough. I have now had terrible chest pains all day. I do suffer from chest pain and was on arcoxia and Florenif (srs drug or skemthing) although no chest pain like this, I have never felt this bad, could the drug have affected my heart ?

Hi,
Weed or cannabis does have an effect on the human heart. It can increase heart rate by up to 50 percent which increases the load on the heart. Healthy hearts will only be mildly stressed with this but this might not be the case in a person with a disease of the heart. This could have been the reason of your chest pains and palpitations.

Hope this helps,
Dr Anjana rao
