General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Menopause is a normal physiological process through which all women have to go through.

Hot flushes, disturbed sleep, mood swings, emotional problems are symptoms of menopause.

Other complications are osteoporosis, cardiovascular disease, urinary problems, breast cancer due to fall in estrogen levels.

You can take dietary supplements, get Hormone replacement therapy done(HRT), get a cardiac checkup(ECG, Echocardiography, stress test, lipid profile, CBC, Urinalysis done for your palpitations) to rule out any developing CAD, maintain weight as per BMI. Get physically examined get treated.

Avoid oily junk food, take veggies, berries, fruits, whole grain meals, avoid sedentary life & addictions if any. Maintain healthy lifestyle.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Nupur K, General & Family Physician
