Have Hsv1 Outbreak. Always Will Have Numbness And Tingling As A Symptom. What To Do Now?
Hi, I am on day 7 on a hsv1 recurrent outbreak. Normally I will get numb and tingling on the side of the virus outbreak the day before the outbreak. Yesterday (day 6) and today I have had the same numbness, tingling back again even though the blisters are healing and clearing. It is worse and is traveling down my leg down to my calf and heel. Do you know why? Or is this something else?
You're suffering from Herpes simplex virus infection. You're complaining of tingling, numbness and burning pain. It is called postherpetic neuralgia. The viruses lie dormant in the ganglion cells. whenever there is a trigger factor the infection recurrs and the infection is self limiting. Due to the damage to the neural ganglions patients experience symptoms of postherpetic neuralgia.
