Cardiologist 's  Response
As u said ur HbA1c is more then 8 and also ur fbs was 168 at one time i think u have to take medicine bc it is not possible to controll without medication. I also advise u that if u dont want to increse ur dose of medicine as happens in diabetes after some time, start doing regular exercise at least brisk walk around 3km/day. So ur diabetes will be in controll.

Hi,
Welcome to HCM
You are 46years and Hypertensive for last 15 years and now you have Diabetes as diagnostic criteria for diabetes is >124 mg% also your HBA1c is 8.7 it is in diabetic range.

Hypertension,Diabetes,Obesity and Heart Diseases these are all Genetic as well as life style diseases that means sedentary(lack of exercises) stress,High fats and calores packed food (Fast Foods)

At this this level it would be just right too start medicine like Metformin which would increase senstivity of insulin and increase utilization by muscles,as you must walk daily 4-5 km which will help to reduce BP also.
I hope your Blood sugar will be controlled in 2-3 week time .Pay attention to diet as advised to you.
Stress management Yoga and Meditation, Avoid Hurry, worry&curry.

But There are few more things like Are you over weight? Lipid profile is it derannged ? and Smoking or tobaccoor Alcohol. if there quit completely.Family histiry of any such disease ?

What medicine you are taking for BP as in diabetic ACE inhibitor would be drug of choice so kindly discuss with your treating Physician/Cardiologist.
Best of luck to You
