Have Infected Lipoma On Back Of Thigh, Taken Amoxicillin, Red Bump. What To Do?

I have an infected lipoma on the back of my thigh. I have taken a full round of amoxicillin, which ended today, and the bump is still red, although it is better and the surrounding tissue is no longer firm to the touch. The lipoma is warm to the touch, and it better but not gone. What now?

Hi,

I suggest to consult a surgeon to get it removed and permanently cleaned surgically.

Meanwhile, I'd advise to apply
- cold clothing to reduce local temperature and inflammation
- black ointment

until you see a surgeon.

All the best!
