Have Inflamed, Red, Swelling On Face Pimples. Have Picked, Poopped. No Products Helped. Now Painful. Treatment?
IM 19 YEARS OLD AND IM ALREADY IN A 4TH YEAR COLLEGE, I NEED A CONSULTATION ABOUT THE INFLAMED, REDNESS AND SWELLING ON MY PIMPLES HERE ON MY FACE. I ADMIT THAT I PICKED, POPPED AND PRESSED ON IT. AND IT BECAME WORST THE REDNESS. I'LL TRY PRODUCTS THAT I THINK CAN CURE ON IT BUT IT JUST WORSEN. MOSTLY I USED SOAP WHICH HAS SULFUR AND SALICYLIC ACID ON MY PIMPLES. NOW IT REALLY PAINFUL AND IRRITATING TO MY FACE THAT I CANNOT DO MY DAILY WORK AND ALSO IT LOWER MY SELF-CONFIDENCE EACH DAY, DOC, I REALLY NEED YOUR HELP ABOUT THIS. AND I HOPE YOU CAN GIVE ME A GOOD ADVICE AND TREATMENT FOR THIS. THANK YOU.
Hello, Thanks for the query. You have done a wrong thing by popping the pimple. By applying salicylic acid you have developed an allergic reaction. Please apply some mild steroid like hydrocortisone initially. This should be followed by application by clindamycin. This will help you recover faster.
