Have Irregular Mensuration. Advised To Reduce Weight. Ultrasound Shows Small Follicles. Suggestions?

Sir, I m having problem of irregular mensuration..i consulted gynecologists and she asked me to go through all the tests related to this problem but everything is normal.. just she asked me to reduce the weight as my ultrasound report showed the following details 3months back:
LEFT OVARY: small follicles measuring 4-8 mm seen
RIGHT OVARY: small follicles measuring 4-8 mm seen

Yesterday I again had ultrasound which showed the following details:
LEFT OVARY: follicles measuring 9-10 mm seen. no evidence of stromal hyperechogenicity
RIGHT OVARY:follicles measuring 9-10 mm seen. no evidence of stromal hyperechogenicity

But both the reports show: ANTEVERTED UTERUS WITH BILATERAL MILD POLYCYSTIC OVARIES

Kindly guide me reduction in weight is the solution to this problem or something else? And do you think is there any difference in two reports mentioned above.

Hello,

Thanks for your query.

Your presenting condition is bilateral PCOD. It is an endocrine disorder with impairment of normal ovulation which may effect on your period and future fertility or conceiving problem. If it is untreated properly, other health related issue may arise.

Low carbohydrate diet, moderate exercise regularly to reduce body wt and supportive medication are key treatment of PCOD.

You may consult with endocrinologist regarding this. Be well & stay healthy.
