Have Irregular Periods. Having Continuous Bleeding. Does Pelvic Scan Indicates Poly Cystic Ovaries?

Hi, I'm selvi,my periods is irregular since last 6months..and now severe continuous bleeding from september1st (one and half month).
pelvic scan shows my endometrial thickness is14mm and polycystic ovaries..please advice me what is treatment option ?

Hello madam, well from the history you have given, you have anovulatory cycles. .Polycystic ovarian syndrome is the commonest cause of irregular periods. ...You need to consult your gynaecologist,history and examination are required before starting the treatment...Usually oral contraceptive pills are prescribed for 3 to 6 cycles to stabilise the periods....Also most of the women with pcos have increased BMI....Weight reduction is very important to regularise the cycle...In case you have hirsutism (excess terminal hair like male pattern), then anti androgen may be prescribed. ...hope i was helpful to you. ..
