Have Irregular Periods And Brown Discharge. Tried Medicine But No Help. Hysterescopy Showed Blocked Tube, Tried Depo Provera
Hi there, for around 2-3 years I was suffering with extremely irregular periods and continuous brown discharge. My gynaecologist tried me on every pill, tried doubling it up and then tried stopping it completely. No luck. I had a hysteroscopy done and he told me that one of my tubes are blocked, I have a unicorniate uterus and one of my ovaries are missing! he told me to try the depo provera injection so I did but it stopped my bleeding an discharge for just 1 month at a time! A year down the line I had a HSG, it didn't work, the dye would not go anywhere as they said it was blocked now on both sides! Since the hsg I haven't had a period or any form of discharge and I was just wondering if that was normal? It's now 3 months since the hsg and still have nothing at all! Thank you!
Hello, Menstruation occurs due to changes in hormonal levels in the body. These hormones are secreted mostly from the ovaries. Since you are missing one, the other should be functioning. if the hormone levels are normal you may get bleeding. You should check your hormone levels. Otherwise only medication like progesterone can cause withdrawal bleeding.
