Have Itching And Irritation Due To Wax In Ear. Took Antibiotics. Pus Removed, Sent For Culturing. Is This Correct Treatment?
due to wax in the ear I used to get itching and irritation and some times I use finger nail to remove asome wax. One auch time My inner ear skin got damaged and infection occurs and pus formation also happened. i have gone to a doctor and got the pus removed and started antibiotics. pain subsided but after 3 days still there was pus and removed. i am feeling OK. But doctor sent the pus for culturing. Is it the correct way. please tl me.

It appears that after antibiotic medicine course still pus formation is continued, he might have thought that antibiotic given might be resistant to infection so he gone for culture and sensitivity test.
After report he will go for specific antibiotic medicine course and you will be alright.

if you feel there is any wax in ear you should clean it with sterile ear buds, you should not put your finger nails as they contain infectious organism
infection caused is mainly because of organism that got introduced through your finger nail
doctor has done correct thing by starting on antibiotics and sending pus for culture.
wait for the reports and use medication according to culture reports
