Have Itchy Labia And Yellowish Discharge. Stopped Purbac. Suggestions?
Hi, I'm a 24 year old female. I have a mildly itchy labia (the itching usually starts at night after a long day), and my discharge is cream whitish/yellow, but not smelly at all. It's thickened, but not like a cream cheese consistency, it's more like an elastic band consistency. I started taking a contraceptive (Ginette) for my acne about 3 months ago, I also took Purbac (double strength) for about 6 weeks, but stopped because it made my skin itch. What could be causing my yellowish elastic-like discharge?
From your description, it does indeed sound like you could be suffering from an infection (eg. trichomoniasis). As you have not mentioned whether you are sexually active or not, it is difficult to comment on how you have contracted this infection.
But do not worry, please visit your doctor and get yourself physically examined. The examination of your urine and/or the vaginal discharge can also provide vital information and a confirmation on the type of infection you could be suffering from.
I hope I have succeeded in providing the information you were looking for. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications. I would gladly help you.
Best wishes.
