Hello and welcome to HCM,

The laboratory tests that you have had:
1.Renal function tests- urea, uric acid, creatinine are within normal limits
2. Liver function tests- total, direct & indirect bilirubin, albumin, SGOT, SGPT, alkaline phosphatase are all within normal limits
3. Lipid profile-Cholesterol, HDL, VLDL, triglycerides, are all within normal limits. there is slight elevation of LDL
4. Hemogram- Hb, TLC?, DLC. Platelet count? are within normal limits

However, there is rediological evidence of Ankylosing spondylitis of the lower back.
This is a condition charaterised by fusion of the vertebrae in the lower back.
This is hereditary condition and is associated with HLA B27.
presence of this HLA molecule is confirmatory of ankylosing spondylitis.

This condition is associated with involvement of joints, eyes and bowel.
You need to remain on follow to rule out complication developing in any of these organs.
Immunosuppressants are the mode of treatment. You need to consult your doctor for prescription of the drugs.

Thanks and take care
Dr Shailja P Wahal
