Have Lesions On Scalp With Painful Along With Knee Pain

I have painful, immovable lesions on my scalp. They are very troublesome. I can t seem to leave them alone. Some bleed, and then go away for a couple of weeks. I have two that will not go away, and are painful. Any help would be appreciated. I am 58, female, diabetic type ll (controlled with diet and medication). I also have painful joints in my hands and knees. Thank you for your time and attention to this request.

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi,

It may be pyoderma on the scalp... consult the dermatologist for the perfect diagnosis and proper treatment. I would recommend you to take a course of antibiotic and antiinflammatory drugs after complete examination and investigations by your doctor. For pain in joints, I advise you to consult the orthopaedic surgeon and get x ray and MRI... and then you may get proper treatment after the perfect diagnosis of joint disease.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilyas Patel, Dermatologist
