Have Long Periods, Cramping, Discharge Of Black Clots. How To Overcome This Problem?
I started my period on November 3 and it hasn't stopped yet. I thought it stopped around 13 days, just had light discarge, but then i started seeing pink/red blood again. Today I'm discharging big black clots, which I think is just old blood, and I have cramping. My periods are very heavy since they came back when my twins were about 11 months old. (They just turned 2). Usually they last about 7-9 days. The first 3-4 days are extremely heavy, saturating a Super Plus every 2-3 hours. Nothing ever this long. I am not on birth control. I have 3 children: vaginsl birth on 06/14/09 and C with my twins 11/02/11
Hi, You should have long gone to the doctor when you were bleeding so heavily and for so many days.Generally also your periods are prolong for 7-9 days and heavy. You must go and see the Doctor. You have to undergo general and internal examination. Your doctor may advise you to go for blood tests and USG. Your Doctor has to rule out possibility of pregnancy and its complications. You have not mentioned about your contraception method in use. Your management depends on the cause of bleeding, so my advise is you go immediately to your gynecologist. Take care. Dr H Hamdani
