Have Lower Abdominal Pain, Weight Gain, Fatigue And Bloated. Why No Period? Pregnancy?

I have not had a period since the very end of June. I have taken 6 hpt s all of which came back negative. I have a fluttering feeling in my lower abs, weight gain , fatigue and a very bloaty belly. Is the only possibility pregnancy? I have a doctors appointment next week but would love something to ease my mind before hand . I have been under a lot of pressure at work lately and normally run but injured my legs last time I went so haven t done much excersing when normally I do. Thanks.

Hi
The host of symptoms could well mean your state of situational anxiety
It may not be pregnancy - the tests were negative. Still it may not be wise to take any medication - till you see your obstetrician / they may do 'sonar and so on and confirm or exclude. there are several other reasons like hormones. Take diversion - park, beach, cinema! / have a hobby / start regular exercise / wait till you see the doctor
Good luck

General & Family Physician Dr. Michelle Gibson James's  Response
Hi, thanks for using health care magic

Oligomenorrhoea is the medical term for delayed period of at least 35 days.
The possible causes include:(1) psychological and physical stress (2) abnormal levels of steroid hormone (3) polycystic ovarian syndrome which is a condition that consists of elevated levels of male hormone (symptoms such as acne or hirsuitism), delayed periods, cysts in the ovaries (4) abnormal levels of other hormones such as prolactin (5) poor diet

Your doctor may suggest blood tests and imaging such as an ultrasound to determine the exact cause of your symptoms.

I hope this helps
