It is unusual for
moles to appear suddenly and because of this you may want to consider having your doctor take a look.
In general there are certain factors that are considered when assessing moles, called the ABCDE .
A- asymmetry- moles that are not dangerous are symmetrical , if you look at each half, it appears the same
B-the border of the mole which is not likely to be dangerous would have a smooth border ,
C- colour- a normal mole would have one colour
D- diameter- it is more likely to be concerning if it is small
E- if it uneven or elevated above the surface of the skin it is more likely to be concerning.
Your doctor will consider these factors when assessing your lesions.
