Hello and welcome to HCM,
You are suffering from a number of disease processes.
The
fibromyalgia has to be managed by controlling the symptoms eg by taking pain killers.
The spinal MRI has shown that there is disc herniation at the level of lumbar and sacral
nerve root levels.
Herniation of discs compresses the nerve roots and produces symptoms pertaining to the organ or the dermatome supplied by that particular nerve root.
The bladder control is both voluntary as well as involuntary.
The involuntary control is mediated by sympathetic nerve roots - S1, S2 and S3.
Since the bladder is supplied by the sacral nerve roots, tere is some interference with the bladder control.
Similarly, the bowel is also controlled in the similar manner.
It is important to manage the spinal problem.
Herniation of the disc is managed by complete
bed rest.
In case, the symptoms are not relieved by rest alone, surgical resection of the
herniated disc is required.
Consult your
neurologist with the MRI report for further management.
Thanks and take care
