Have Numerous Red Bumps On Pelvis Above Genitals, Scrotum, Spreading To Chest, Itchy, Not Painful.

I have numerous red bumps primarily on my pelvis just above my genitals. There are also some on my scrotum , and it has spread down the inside of both thighs and is beginning to spread up to my chest. The bumps are not painful, but can become moderately itchy (4/10). It appears some of the bumps have dimples, but not clear if all of them do. Eventually, a bump will have the head tear off, and then proceed to heal. However, the overall problem is getting worse. This has been going on for 11 weeks, with the the first bump appearing on my penis, however my penis is currently bump free. The redness is localized to the bumps themselves, the skin around it appears unaffected.

Hi,
Thanks for writing in.

You might be having genital warts infection. This is transmitted by human papilloma virus HPV and spread even through close skin contact. It appears in clusters and can involves many areas in the genitals at the same time. They are painless and develop itching later on.

You must consult your doctor and get it confirmed by clinical examination.

General & Family Physician Dr. Nsah Bernard's  Response
Hello,

Thanks for posting on HCM,

Sorry for your troubles. Depending on the circumstances in which you found yourself recently i.e sharing the same bed or living in the same household with somebody who is also suffering from itchy generalized skin rashes, it is likely that you are suffering from scabies. If that is not the case, then looking at dermatitis as the most likely cause is a point to start from.
Using topical steroid creams and antihistamines could help remedy the situation but first you will need to see a dermatologist who can examine the rashes physically then provide you with a script to get rid of them.

hope this helps
