Have Pain In Chest And Left Arm. Tested For ECG Normal. Is Pain Due To Elevated Cholesterol?
my brother is 67 years old and very healthy and fit. Nothing medically wrong with him. Recently he had chest pains, and pains down his left arm , went to his GP, echocardiogram test okay, waiting for stress test, went on holiday, had the same sympomts whilst away, went to A&E, echocardiogram okay, but elevated creatinine of 130. How serious is this when he has nothing else medically wrong with him, apart from elevated cholsterol.

Creatinine is a chemical that is produced from the muscle,it is transported through the blood to the kidneys.
The normal values are 0.5 to 1.2 mg/dl which is 44 to 106 in other units. Different labs may have varying normal value ranges. The value of 130 is slightly above the upper limit.
Elevated creatinine is usually associated with kidney disease. Other causes are excess intake of meat, as a consequence of some medications.
Your brother's doctor may consider screening him for kidney disease which may involve futher blood tests, urine analysis. Imaging may also be considered.

Elevated creatinine indicates deranged renal function and may be associated with increased LDL and Triglycerides and low HDL.
Your brother should consult with physician and should go for coronary angiography, serum electrolytes, blood urea, blood sugar, urine analysis and ultrasound imaging study of both kidney.
Your brother may have cardiac problem or may have neuropathic pain due to uremia.
